How a PreBuyCheck booking works, from payment to the photo report.

Do I choose the inspection time?

No. You book and pay only. Your inspector will call the seller and then you to confirm a time.

What is a priority booking?

Priority is an optional extra for same day completion, subject to seller availability. The fee is shown on the inspections page and added when you book. Priority bookings are handled first.

Where does the inspection happen?

At the car. You enter the inspection address and the seller's details. The inspector comes to the vehicle.

What do I receive afterwards?

A detailed photo report of the inspection, ready for you to read before you buy.

Do I need an account?

No. You can book as a guest and pay online. Your booking reference is shown after payment.

When do I pay?

You pay when you book, before the inspection. The price is in Australian dollars and includes GST. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay are available at checkout.

What do I need to provide?

The vehicle details, the inspection address, and contact details for the seller and for you.

Who does the inspector call?

Your inspector will call the seller and then you to confirm a time.

What if the seller cannot make the car available?

The inspection goes ahead only when the seller can make the car available. Your inspector will call the seller and then you to confirm a time. Priority is same day completion, subject to seller availability.

Which areas do you cover?

Listed suburbs are on the service areas page. The address you enter on the booking is what the inspector uses.

What does the inspection cover?

Exterior, interior, engine bay, underbody, electrical, and a road test when the car can be driven safely and the seller agrees. Access depends on the vehicle and the location.
